Radio Controlled Speed Boat

Project Description

Me and some of my classmates developed a RC Boat in the first semester of the university. It was built with a propeller run by 1400kv outrunner Brushless DC Motor (BLDC). The rudder was made from thin metal sheets and controlled by a servo motor. We tested it in a small tank of water on the night of completion. It had some problems but I learnt a lot. Most importantly it was super fun to build. Later I participated the model ship propulsion competition (MSPC) 2016.

My Roles

I designed and fabricated the hull of the boat. I designed the mechanism for attaching the propeller to the BLDC motor and the servo rudder mechanism for the boat as well.
